Central Ohio Technical College

Mission Statement: The mission of Central Ohio Technical College is to meet the technical education and training needs of students and employers in the area.

Overview: The future is bright for Central Ohio Technical College as the institution prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2011. COTC is well positioned fiscally, programmatically, and logistically with its multiple campuses (Newark, Coshocton, Knox, and Pataskala) to respond to changing workforce needs. Recognized nationally in 2008 with an award for Innovation of the Year, the COTC Gateway – the college one-stop customer service center – will undergo a complete remodel in 2010 to create a premier space focused on meeting the diverse needs of its growing student body. The college offers more than 40 associate degree and certificate options, and enjoys very high graduate placement rates. Typically, more than 80 percent of COTC graduates are employed within six months of graduation, with most working in the technology they studied at COTC, according to a 2008-09 Alumni Follow-Up Survey conducted by the college.
