Student Perspectives on Our Guided Pathways Technology: What Can We Learn from the Shift to Remote Learning and Engagement?

More so than ever before, technology is essential to student learning and supporting students across the Ohio community colleges. Across these past semesters, our institutions rapidly mobilized to engage students, faculty, and staff in a remote environment. Through a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded effort and with our partner The Ada Center, we have an opportunity to reflect and learn from how students experienced this virtualization of our Guided Pathways work.

Across the summer of 2020, The Ada Center conducted student interviews at 5 OACC institutions to examine how students experience critical technologies and communications. The goal of these interviews was to help OACC institutions better understand the technology-related activities, features, and capabilities most important for student engagement and learning. Findings from these conversations will be presented in a webinar on November 12, 2020.

The target audience is student affairs, academic affairs, information technology and institutional research faculty, staff, and administrators from an Ohio community college.
