Student Voice: Using the Student Experience to Inform Decision-Making
Success Center Webinar Series
Early focus groups can provide valuable insights about the student experience and help identify areas of reform that would improve student success. Using a case-study approach from Lorain County Community College (LCCC), Erika Fenik, Director of Institutional Planning and Engagement, will discuss how the launch of student success strategies at LCCC were informed by internal data, national research, and the student voice. While LCCC has been collecting the student voice via surveys for decades, shifting to a more comprehensive and strategic collection of feedback has taken priority in the past two years. During this session, Erika will share the tactical details of identifying the pockets of need, collecting the student voice, sharing back the findings in a way that supports action.
